What began as a small endeavour has grown into a ministry, publisher & bookshop, with a specific vision to preserve and share Christian writingsâespecially from the Latter Rain tradition on onwardsâthat many modern readers find hard to access or find.
Operating from Mildura, Australia. Lampstand has for decades served a global online community via its bookshop, blog, and periodic free Kindle/book-giveaway offerings for readers of Christian and spiritual heritage materials.
Key milestones include:
- Late 1990s: Founding (1997) as an online platform focused on Christian publishing and outreach.
- 2000s-2010s: Expansion of the catalog, publishing & distributing Christian PDF books, especially those less commonly found in mainstream Christian bookstoresâmany drawn from historical movements or authors.
- Recent years: Maintaining a blog with historical and theological content (e.g. the writings on the 1948 Latter Rain Movement, George Hawtin, Bill Britton, etc.).
Also more recently â discontinuation of distributing free PDF versions of certain writings, due to changes in software/tools and security/stamping issues.
