Discipling Nations
Discipling Nations by Michael Avery. When the Lord announces a change of season in the earth, it is always proceeded by a prophetic new word for that new season. This can be verified by biblical examples in scripture. Some of the many examples in scripture we can connect my statement above to would be Moses, Joshua, many prophets (old testament). One outstanding example would of course be the prophet John (John the Baptist) of the new testament.
Jesus recognised a change in the season for his own life and was lead to John the Baptist. Jesus recognised the authority in John’s declaration (receive baptism of repentance for the remissions of sins) for the season that was upon the earth and submitted himself to John for baptism. What I just stated must be emphasised; that even Jesus the Son of God submitted himself to a man for a birthing into the new season that was upon him. (Discipling Nations by Michael Avery)
Discipling Nations
In season’s past a man messenger was always used as the voice of God to usher in that new season. There are 3 main biblical epochs (seasons) for God’s ultimate purpose to be made manifest in the earth. Jesus proclaimed in Luke 16:16. (Discipling Nations)
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the Kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. (KJV)
- Season 1 was the Law (Moses was the father of the Law, announced and berthed that season. That season had its purpose and was in place until the next season.)
- Season 2 was the Prophets (Samuel was the one who berthed and ushered in that season. That season had its purpose and was in place until the next.)
- Season 3 was and is the Kingdom of God (John the Baptist was the one who proclaimed that change and ushered in the season we currently know as the Kingdom of God.)
If we are to see a restoration amongst the people of God we need to get back to the word and minister about the Kingdom of God. This was Jesus’s primary teaching.
I have a little concern about what is preached these days to most mature believers which is a constant message of revival, most of what I am hearing ministered is about leaving the earth. Everyone seems in a hurry to get to heaven! (Discipling Nations by Michael Avery)
Sometimes I wonder if we Gods people can really recognise that revivals come and go, they never last.
At least that is what history shows us, my constant thought is “Why keep asking the Father for Revival?” when it’s probably He that killed or ended the seasons of the revival’s in the first place by withdrawing his spirit. “Why keep asking for something when it’s clear that request is not being answered” Surely what we are deeply longing for is restoration rather than revival, revivals always end, restoration lasts and his handed to the next generation. Let’s change our out dated mindset in prayer and ask the father for restoration rather than another revival. (Discipling Nations)
Acts 3:21 whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.
Job 8:6 If you are pure and upright, Surely now He would rouse Himself for you And restore your righteous estate.
One of the primary messages I heard many years ago when I came to know Christ was “You must be saved, so if you die you will go to heaven” So the Gospel I heard was more about dying than it was about living!
Discipling Nations Ive had to re-educate my mind over this last decade to move on from that Gospel message. As important as the salvation message is, we must move on from that understanding to the ultimate purpose of God for this season and His Kingdom advancing in all seven spheres of influence (mountains) in society today. (Discipling Nations by Michael Avery)
That involves being fathered by the current light of revelation, recognising the authority (Apostolic Authority) that God has placed in your life to bring you into the current Kingdom season in the earth. The current role you play in the local body of Christ, the current message heaven is speaking through His prophets, and the Kingdom of God being made manifest in the earth through you, on earth rather than in heaven.
